In order to improve the effectiveness and quality of doctoral training in the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, two dissertational councils have been established for accreditation of doctoral dissertations in awarding of the PhD, with specialties in “6D051000-Public Administration”, “6D090500-Social Work”, “6D050600-Economy” and “6D020200-International Relations”. This scientific laboratory brings a great importance to the practically oriented research results of applicants who find applications in various spheres of state and local government, social work, economics, as well as international relations.
Dissertation councils are starting opportunities for applicants to test their results, get expert assessments from those who sets development trends in the field of state and local government, social work, economy and international relations.
And that is here, where new opportunities and roads are open, expanding its horizons of science. The new format of the dissertational procedure also changed the composition of the councils, which includes both alumni of the international Bolashak program with a PhD degree, doctors and candidates of sciences, deputies of the Parliament, and representatives of state bodies.
From August 2017 to March 2018, 13 people have defended their dissertations in the new dissertational councils, 11 of which are graduates of the Academy and two are graduates of the Narkhoz University. At the same time, five people (45.5% of the number of defended graduates of the Academy) are graduates of 2014 and 2016.
As of March 26, 2018, 11 out of 13 applicants received confirmation from the CCISSON of the MES of Kazakhstan.
The researches of our doctoral students are one of the most practically oriented! They include the most actual trends such as project management in public administration, quality management of non-governmental organizations, reduction of disproportions in social and economic development of the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, management of urban agglomerations, formation of professional competencies among social workers and the like.
The expert level of the councils will allow us to generate a new generation of civil servants, whose work will soon accelerate the prosperity of our country. After all, we do say: “The success of science is a matter of the time and boldness of the mind”!

We are glad to share with you wonderful news. By the order of the Chairman of the Committee for Control in the Sphere of Education and Science of the MES of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 632 of April 16, 2018, our PhD students – graduates of 2016 and 2017 – received confirmation of the award of the doctorate degree in special field and PhD:
1) Aliyev Ulugbek – Doctor PhD (specialty of the Public Administration);
2) Dauyeshova Aliya – Doctor PhD (specialty of the Public Administration);
3) Kussainova Anara – Doctor of Science (specialty of the Public Administration);
4) Utegenova Aliya – Doctor of Science (specialty of the Public Administration).
