The Council of Master’s and PhD Students of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”) is a public movement that brings together master’s and doctoral students, as well as learners of the Academy. The Council serves as a voice for its members, advocating for the rights of master’s and PhD students, and Academy learners before the Academic Council, the Academy administration, as well as Institutes/National School of Public Policy, state and public organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, foreign states, and international organizations and institutions.
The Council is dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for an effective educational process, promoting the professional growth of master’s and doctoral students, and facilitating the realization of the creative potential, talents, and abilities of Academy learners. Additionally, it assists the Academy’s management in addressing tasks and collaborates with youth public and scientific associations both in Kazakhstan and internationally.
- Cultivating a civic culture and fostering an active civic stance among master’s and doctoral students and learners of the Academy, promoting the development of their social maturity, independence, self-organization, and self-development.
- Enhancing the quality of teaching and research activities through advocacy and support.
- Nurturing self-government skills among master’s students, doctoral students, and Academy learners, preparing them for competent and responsible engagement in societal and state affairs.
- Organizing cultural events, including sports activities.
- Autonomously develop and approve plans for its activities.
- Make proposals to improve the quality of the Academy’s educational process.
- Aid in safeguarding and advocating for the rights and interests of master’s and PhD students, along with Academy learners, including addressing educational, social, and other pertinent matters within the Council’s jurisdiction.
- Collaborate with the Academy administration and Institute/NSPP management to address educational and research challenges, and facilitate leisure activities for master’s and doctoral students, and Academy learners.
- Engage actively in the execution of socially impactful youth initiatives of both the Academy and the state.
