regional cooperation, management of transboundary resources, geopolitical stability
and sustainable development in accordance with modern trends in the science of
international relations. The "model of development of Kazakhstan's water
diplomacy" proposed in the course of the study is assessed as a theoretical
contribution based on the principles of security, integration and institutional
governance. In addition, the expansion of the conceptual and terminological field
related to water diplomacy and its combination with international legal,
environmental and political criteria enhance the scientific novelty of the work.
Approbation of the results of the dissertation research. The main results and
conclusions of the study have been widely discussed and validated by the scientific
community. In total, 5 scientific articles were published as part of the dissertation
work. Including:
* Articles published in scientific journals recommended by the Committee for
Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and
Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
* An article published in international peer-reviewed scientific journals,
including a journal registered in the Scopus database;
* The results of the research were also reported at international and national
scientific and practical conferences and forums, and discussed in scientific circles.
The articles consider in detail ways to improve Kazakhstan's water diplomacy,
models of transboundary water cooperation in Central Asia, international legal
frameworks and the relationship with regional security.
In addition, individual sections of the thesis were presented at scientific round
tables, seminars and academic discussion platforms and received a positive
assessment from experts. This highlights the practical and scientific significance of
the research and proves the possibility of applying the results in real life.
Criticism and approval of research work. The dissertation research has passed
a preliminary scientific discussion at the Institute of Diplomacy of the Academy of
Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is
recognized as meeting scientific requirements. The theoretical provisions and
practical recommendations of the work have received a positive opinion from the
scientific community.
The main principles and conclusions of the research work have been presented
at 2 scientific conferences of international importance and published in collections
of their materials. 4 articles in Kazakh have been published in domestic scientific
journals recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Education and
Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of
Kazakhstan, and 1 article in English has been published in a foreign scientific journal
included in the Scopus database. Criticism and approval of the work prove the
relevance, theoretical depth and practical value of the dissertation research.
The structure of the thesis. The dissertation consists of an introduction, four
chapters, a conclusion, and a list of references. The total volume of the dissertation
is 199 pages. There are 35 tables and 44 figures. The list of references contains a list
of scientific and technical literature, consisting of 268 original works by domestic
and foreign authors.
